Evaluating population genomic screening, secondary findings disclosure, and hereditary cancer prevention.
This stream evaluates the value — and the distribution of value — of genomic and precision-medicine technologies. Projects include population-wide BRCA screening for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, physician and public preferences for the return of genomic secondary findings, and the implementation of genomic sequencing in mainstream medicine.
The work integrates decision-analytic modelling, systematic review, and stated-preference methods, and has appeared in JAMA Network Open, European Journal of Human Genetics, and Genetics in Medicine.
