I am a health economist specialising in equity-informed economic evaluation, distributional and dynamic distributional cost-effectiveness analysis (DCEA / D-DCEA), the economics of genomics and precision medicine, health technology assessment (HTA), and stated-preference methods.

My research builds decision tools that assess not only how much health a programme produces, but who benefits, who is missed, and how fairness evolves over time. My PhD thesis at Macquarie University develops dynamic methods for distributional cost-effectiveness analysis, supervised by A/Prof Yuanyuan Gu and A/Prof Bonny Parkinson.

Before moving to Australia, my career spanned international research training (UBC, MIT, Columbia), independent health-technology-assessment consulting, public science communication, and policy-facing health economics across China and Australia. I currently also serve as an Adjunct Research Fellow at the Shanghai Health Development Research Center, as Section Editor (HEOR) of Advances in Therapy, and as Convenor of the Health Equity Special Interest Group of the Australian Health Economics Society.

My work has been recognised with the Value in Health Best Paper of the Year 2024, the AIHI Student of the Year 2025, and a fully funded Brocher Foundation Research Visiting Fellowship (Geneva, 2026).
